Tuesday Tips for Parents/Guardians and Grandparents

November 26, 2024

Good evening all. With the school being used as a polling station on Friday we are closed and on Monday too. Regardless, we have lots to fit in between now and the end of next week. With plenty of opportunities for parents to come into the school and sample some of the delights in store, provided by your daughter/s. But before I go there, I would like to take the opportunity to remind you that we are currently making efforts to collect non perishable food and beverages (non alcoholic) from students  to redistribute to families in need  in our community. Each class have a specified list of what might be brought in. So parents, please dig deep and give what you can. Fifth and Ty students are making the rounds twice weekly to collect donations and of course the class that donates the most , will be given a prize. We are most grateful for all of your donations.

And Finally…

The Children’s Rights Alliance is consulting with parents of children who are diagnosed as neurodiverse and parents in the process of seeking a diagnosis for their child. The consultation will gather the parents’ experiences of accessing childcare and pre-school services and supports nationwide. The feedback gathered will help shape policies and programmes to better support neurodiverse children and their families. Parents can share their experiences via an online consultation session which takes place from 11:30am to 1pm on Zoom on November 29th.
