Dear First Year Students and Parents,
Welcome to Our Lady of Mercy College! We are delighted to have you join our school community as you begin this exciting new chapter on Thursday, 21st August 2025 at 11am until 1pm.
A cup of tea/coffee will be available for all 1st year parents in the school canteen.
Important Safety Information – School Gates and Traffic
At this time of year, we experience serious safety and congestion issues at our school gates. We kindly remind all parents and guardians that the road markings outside the school gates must be strictly adhered to. This ensures the safe movement of traffic into and out of Beaumont Woods, as well as access to the school grounds.
Please note:
• The Gardaí traffic division are actively monitoring this area
• Only staff cars are permitted onto the school grounds
• Do not enter the school grounds or park in ways that obstruct the gates or traffic flow
We understand that everyone wants to collect their child and leave quickly, but causing obstructions leads to frustration, anger, and further delays for other parents, staff, and residents of Beaumont Woods. Your patience and understanding are essential so that everyone using Beaumont Woods Road can arrive at and leave school safely and in a timely manner.
Student Reminders
• Full uniform is required for assembly day and all school days. PE Tracksuit to be worn for PE days only.
• Remember to bring a pen with you for the induction day on Thursday.
