Our 6th-year students had a great day immersing themselves in the world of finance and governance!
They had the incredible opportunity to visit the EU Parliament House, where they learned first-hand how the EU institutions work, and the invaluable work of the European Parliament and heard about all the amazing career opportunities in the EU
and insights into the mechanisms driving European policy-making. From discussing pressing issues to witnessing the democratic process in action
But the learning didn’t stop there! Later on, the girls had a fantastic opportunity to visit The Irish Stock Exchange, where they delved into the dynamic world of finance. We were so fortunate to have a presentation with the CCPC (Competition and Consumer Protection Commission) –the highlight of the day, offering valuable insights into consumer rights and market competition.
This hugely enriching experience was part of our celebration of Global Money Week, empowering our students with knowledge and understanding of global financial systems.
Hats off to our 6th-years for embracing this opportunity with enthusiasm and curiosity!
And the very best of luck to them in their orals which begin over the weekend. Many thanks from their Teachers Ms Aileen Keaney and Ms Christina Doherty
