At Our Lady of Mercy College, we are committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all our students. In line with Cineáltas: Action Plan on Bullying, which mandates a whole-education approach to preventing and addressing bullying in schools across Ireland by September 2025, we are excited to introduce our own initiative—Bí Cineálta.
Cineáltas outlines 61 key actions designed to promote collaboration among students, parents, teachers, and the broader school community, all aimed at cultivating an Irish society free from bullying in all its forms. We believe that every child and young person deserves to feel happy and safe in their school environment.
As we embark on this journey, we invite our entire school community—students, parents, and teachers—to actively participate in the consultation process. Your insights and feedback are invaluable as we work together to enhance our existing anti-bullying strategies and implement the Bí Cineálta plan.
