History trip to Collin’s Barracks

5th and 6th year History students went to see a temporary exhibition at Collin’s Barracks which features for the first time the paintings of Sir John Lavery of the Treaty signatories from the Hugh Lane Gallery. Also there were artefacts from the time including the fountain pen reputedly used by Michael Collins to sign the original Treaty document. They got to see some of the other exhibitions too, and enjoy a hot chocolate afterwards. Ms Murphy and Mr Shehu
