Key Conversations Talks for Students and Parent/Guardians

We are pleased to welcome Monica Rowe to our school Monday 15th for her “Key Conversations” student presentation program. Monica specialises in delivering age-appropriate workshops on crucial wellbeing topics that our students face daily.

About Monica’s Work:

Monica provides engaging presentations and workshops covering essential topics including wellbeing, online behaviour, bullying, anxiety, building self-esteem and confidence, social media awareness, peer pressure, respect, and healthy boundaries.

Monday’s Schedule:

1st Years: 11:05am – 12:05pm (School Library)

Topic: “Coping with Change”

Adjusting to bigger school environment, more teachers and students

Managing increased subjects and homework load

Developing independence (getting to school alone, time management)

Meeting expectations for increased maturity

How to approach teachers effectively

Making new friendships

Navigating the inevitable social media challenges

2nd Years: 12:05pm – 1:05pm (School Library)

Topic Focus: “Relationships and Self-Worth”

Coping with friendship difficulties and bust-ups

Developing empathy skills

Responsible social media behavior

Building positive self-image Strengthening self-confidence and respect.

Prefect Training 6th years 1.50pm to 3.50pm School library.

Monica will present a workshop to all parents covering a wide range of topics relating to helping your child navigate through school and beyond in the school library on Wednesday 17th September at 7.30pm.
