Our Transition year students took part in SciFest today as part of Science week. The students have been working hard on their projects all term and enjoyed a great day displaying and presenting their projects to other students and to the judges.Well done to all students who took part and to our prize winners. Congratulations to Lucy Pownall, Cassie Bradley and Myah McElland Sweeney for winning a forestry rosette for their project “How do different fizzy drinks affect a plant’s growth?”. In 2nd place was Eva Taafe and Alisha Boswell with their project “How does music affect your mood?” And in 1st place was Sophie Atkinson and Ela Isik with their project investigating “Music and its effect on Mechanoreceptors”.
