Tuesday Tips for Parents/Guardians and Grandparents

Good evening everyone,

We hope that you are safe and well following last week’s storm Eowyn, hopefully things will settle now that the first day of spring is on the horizon.

 

As well as the  weekly yoga class , we have a nice Candle Making Workshop coming up on the Tuesday 11th of February from 10.30am in the school. Materials and facilitator are provided free of charge. It should be an enjoyable experience with the full sensory experience provided- ie essential oils for that extra scent . Give me a call or text at 0861857703 if you wish to come along. The Second year Parent teacher Meeting is coming up on Thursday 29th of January. If you missed a previous PTM this year then you could pop along to this one. It begins at 4.15pm and teachers will be leaving at 6.45pm. So come early to avoid disappointment 

 .

Barnardos

Barnardos are conducting a Parental Wellbeing Survey to coincide with the newly formed government and to build on their survey findings from last year which showed that a substantial number of parents regularly felt overwhelmed, anxious and burned out. Barnardos hope to use this year’s findings to lobby the government on the issues parents are facing in relation to their wellbeing and the impact that this can have on parenting. HSCL Coordinators may wish to make parents aware of this survey or share it with their school social media pages. The survey can be accessed HERE

 

One Family

Running at One Family, Smithfield Dublin 7 may be something parents/caregivers might be interested in should they be in a position to travel/attend. Contact as below/attached for more info or to register. 

Stay-and-Play Sessions for Children 0-3 years.

Ø       These sessions provide a safe, welcoming environment where parents and children can:

Ø        Engage in developmental play activities tailored to support growth and learning.

Ø        Receive practical parenting tips from experienced educators.

Ø        Connect with other parents in a supportive community.

This runs on a Tuesday mornings at 10 am until 12 am in One Family.

  This course takes place in a safe, inviting space and includes a light lunch for parents.
