A few notices
25/02/26- Parents Network Meeting (tomorrow)- Ann and the committee wants to encourage all you parents to come to the monthly meetings. Fresh voices with fresh points of view are always welcome. The meeting is at 7pm in the school library, there will be a cup of tea to keep you all going too.
4/03/26- Parents Club will be having the next class with Mr J Hyland exploring photoshop in Room 34 on Wednesday at 9.50am . If you missed the first class, come along anyway. CyberSafeKids ‘Essential Digital Parenting’ Webinar.
The smart phone remains a huge issue for the parents of teenagers. As we know in school very many students are loathe to give up their phones at night and phone usage creates lot of tension in families. If parents need further evidence well known psychologist Colman Noctor is delivering a webinar tomorrow and it will be worth your time to sign up to it.
Cybersafe Kids is hosting an ‘Essential Digital Parenting’ webinar with Dr. Colman Noctor (psychotherapist and author) on Wednesday, 25th of February 2026 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. The National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) has four new Level 1 to 2 literacy workbooks for adult literacy and ESOL( English for Speakers of Other Languages) learners which can be accessed by clicking the links below:

The workbooks are for any adult who wants to improve their reading and writing skills at Level 1 to 2. Learners will learn new words and practice how to use them in sentences. Exercises in the workbooks help learners practice their reading, writing, and spelling skills. A learner can use the workbook on their own or with the support of a tutor. Throughout February, libraries across Ireland are encouraging everyone to “Get Lost in a Good Book” in the lead-up to Ireland Reads Day on Saturday, 28 February 2026. Free events for all ages will take place in libraries nationwide to celebrate reading and promote literacy. You can find out more details HERE.
