Tráthnóna maith daoibh go léir le linn Sheachtain na Gaeilge” (Good Evening All, during this week celebrating the Irish language)
We have been making a special effort to speak a little Irish in school this week. It is great to see groups of students using Irish language phrases over their lunch break. It is the perfect time to do the same at home! Over breakfast, during the shopping, watching tv! And for those of you who would like to hear more of the language, come to our Irish language class for the adults at midday in room 34.

Parents Association
Just a reminder to Parents and Guardians that the Parents Association (formerly the Parents Network) meet the last Wednesday of each month, so the next meeting is on the 25th of March. We would appreciate your participation in the meetings, even if you cant attend each month. Your voice is precious to us . The more voices the greater the representation of parents in the school. And the Parents association will be running a Raffle to mark the Easter Break! Tickets will go on sale on the days running up to it. If could donate a prize or perhaps you could sponsor an experience like cinema tickets, that would be great. Or you could just buy some tickets. To donate just get in touch at 0861857703.
Cultural Friendship Week will be coming up at the end of April . This exciting celebration of culture through music , dance and cuisine is a huge hit with everyone in school and the large cohort of parents who have been attending through the years. Parents have not just attended but have contributed to the organization and to the wonderful international array of food on display and to eat on the day. We normally run it at the end of November , however this year it has been deferred to April . There will be more information coming soon. Watch this space!
Our wonderful Mercy Mega Megamix of Music from Musicals will be performing on Tuesday 24th and Thursday 25th. The TYs are deep in rehearsal and dancing fit! We will also be running matinees for the local primary schools. Tickets are on sale from the school.
