Good evening All. It is that time of year when the workload gets bigger but the sands of time are running low. Sorry to say that the Yoga class with Eibhinn is finished for another year. We hope to set it up again in September. Thanks to Eibhinn for all her great work with the parents and guardians.
We are looking forward to the Sixth Year Graduation on Thursday and meeting all their families. The occasion reminds us all that something very important is happening, the students are moving from one phase of life on to the next. They are taking the necessary step to move forward into full adulthood. To their parents they will always be your child. But for the young people, they have a world to be conquered and dreams to be fullfilled. Dont forget to bring along those hankies on the day! And a big thank you in advance to all the parents/guardians who will be helping out with serving food and drinks on the evening.
For those anxious about their exams?
The ISPCC are offering a FREE ‘Beat the Exam Nerves – Breathwork for Teens’ to post primary school students on Tuesday the 19th of May. This 30-minute session is designed to support exam students in managing stress and staying focused under pressure. It introduces simple, practical techniques to help regulate the body and calm the mind before and during exams.
Students will learn how stress shows up physically, why it can impact concentration and memory, and how to respond to it in a manageable way. The focus is on building awareness and providing students with a small number of effective tools they can confidently use in real-time, both in the lead-up to exams and while sitting them.
Registration for the workshop is now open HERE.
And those spare, out grown uniforms….
They may look passed their sell by date to you but we will gladly take your donations of your daughters old uniform. This year we had very few donations of uniforms sadly, to pass on to struggling families. We would be so happy to see uniforms been brought into on the last day for donations. Please think twice when you throw old clothes out, another family might be grateful for it. That is skirts/trouser, jumpers, shirts/blouses, pe uniforms and of course the school anoraks. Please don’t donate soiled goods that cant be washed out.
Thank you!
